Millennium hotel colab provides safe crèche for Kiwis to thrive –
A new kiwi conservation partnership allows guests of the hotel group, Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand, an opportunity to donate a meal or a ‘room’ for a night to Save the Kiwi. This innovative approach sees the guest simply reducing their own room servicing needs and ensures a kiwi gets fed in a safe environment to grow.
Save the Kiwi, a conservation charity dedicated to the preservation of New Zealand’s national icon has entered this partnership with the Millennium hospitality group with 18 hotels throughout New Zealand. From 1 July, every time a guest has choosen the daily ‘no room servicing’ option at any of its Millennium, Copthorne, Kingsgate or M Social hotels in New Zealand, the group has donated a meal for a Kiwi at Save the Kiwi’s crèche in Napier. For larger conference groups, for every five rooms that aren’t serviced by housekeeping, Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand donates a room for a night in the kiwi crèche.
The partnership will focus on supporting kiwi conservation efforts through various initiatives aimed at raising awareness and providing a safe environment for kiwi to hatch and grow, ready to be returned to the wild.

Save the Kiwi has been at the forefront of kiwi conservation for more than 30 years, working tirelessly to ensure the survival and flourishing of this iconic bird species. Their expertise, passion, and dedication have played a significant role in increasing the kiwi population throughout New Zealand.
Michelle Impey, Executive Director of Save the Kiwi, said “With Millennium’s strong commitment to hospitality and sustainability, we can continue to rear chicks in our Napier kiwi crèche until they reach a ‘stoat-proof’ weight of around 1kg. After this point, usually around three months, they are released into a predator-managed habitat in the wild to grow and breed the next generation of kiwi.”

Macdonald family open store to champion high country farming –
The Kaikōura based Macdonald family has announced the opening of Middlehurst Station Farm Store, a thoughtfully curated farm store and boutique butchery located in the heart of the Kāikoura township.
This farm store will serve as a haven for residents and visitors seeking fresh meat, locally sourced produce, and a diverse selection of seasonal products.
“Kaikōura is renowned for its remarkable food and artisan producers, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to contribute to this thriving community,” says Lucy Macdonald, one of the sisters behind the visionary Middlehurst Station Farm Store. “We’ve always dreamed of creating a space where we can connect with our customers directly and showcase the best of New Zealand’s high-country farming.”

Ouch, Siesta Key ranks among the worst hotel service in the nation, study shows
Does a room with a paradisal view make up for poor hotel service? apparently not.
Despite being recognized for having one of the best beaches in the country and in the world by Tripadvisor, Siesta Key was ranked the 4th worst city for hotel service out of 20 cities, according to a study from Planetware.
The study analyzed nearly 8 million hotel reviews from more than 9,000 hotels across 95 US cities to determine those with the worst hotel reviews, worst hotel service, and the common complaints made.
Based on their methodology, they took the millions of hotel reviews and formed a percentage of all analyzed hotel reviews in a given city that were 1-star or 2-star reviews. Rankings for worst hotel service were based on the frequency of keywords mentioned in bad reviews.

Whether or not you’re going to Taylor Swift’s concerts at Empower Field at Mile High next week, you’re in good company.
Fans of the singer-songwriter and her Eras Tour, which plays Denver on Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15, scrambled to snag tickets the moment they went on sale earlier this year, ensuring both instant sell-outs and disappointment.
But anyone can attend these parallel yet separate Swift-themed events, in which boutique hotels, promoters, bars and upscale shopping complexes cater to people coming to (and from) the shows in downtown Denver. Getting a piece of that action means meeting fans where they are. Literally.

The McGregor Square complex across from Coors Field in Lower Downtown is diving in early with a silent disco and related events on Saturday, July 8. Each $30 admission includes a silent-disco headset to hear a pair of DJs spinning Swift hits “from every era to dance and sing along to,” as well as beer or seltzer included and access to a friendship bracelet-making station, “the Eras Tour must-have accessory.”

You can also pose for photos in a booth and enter a Best Dressed raffle for prizes that include a one-night stay at The Crawford with a $100 Denver Union Station gift card.
“Terminal Bar will also be pouring special Taylor Swift cocktails, including the Cruel Summer, a Taylor Spritz, a Blank Space and a Lavender Haze, made with Tito’s Vodka, black tea, lavender, Butterfly Pea Syrup, lemon and soda water,” according to the press release.
